pet peeves #1-3, update

1. people smoking cigarettes near a window but getting NONE of the smoke out of the window. this is almost comical. don’t you understand fluid dynamics? don’t blow the smoke in my face, even though i appreciate your attempts to be considerate.

2. cat’s purrs–it sound like a helicopter hovering above my face.

3. people leaving the water BOILING HOT coming out of a sink faucet. this hurts my heart and my hands

soooOoOOo besides me complaining, i went home for an extended thanksgiving weekend. it was ok. i had some vegan stuffing, gravy, and mashed potatoes!! yum! i got to see all my friends and family, which was great. at the same time, i think getting older is hard. the negative attributes of my family become more and more real every time i go home. i think the most important thing to remember is that ALL OF US are messed up in some way. *i* can’t save anyone, nor can my dad, nor can my sister, nor can my brother. i thank GOD that i am clothed with HIS holy grace, because no matter the state of anyone, this is the only gaurantee and the most precious sate of being.

1 Peter 1:8-9

8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

one of my pet peeves: people walking out to their car at the grocery store, getting in it, while you wait for their spot with your blinker on and cars piling up behind you, and the person then just sits in their car for about 15 minutes doing who knows what until they finally back out.
